Latest Craftsy Pattern

Finally getting ahead and feeling a bit more productive.

Check out my latest free pattern, the 'Dresden Plate Table Runner' in my Craftsy Store.

Finally got around to writing up this pattern...had wanted to do this for a very long time.

You will need a Dresden Plate ruler for this...I used the EZ Dresden ruler by Darlene Zimmerman. I did not include templates as I thought that most people would have access to one of these rulers.


Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think.

New Craftsy Pattern

I finally got around to writing up the pattern for the Little Chicken Quilt

This has been one of the most enjoyable quilts to construct and started as a challenge to use up some of the ever increasing scraps that were accumulating from other projects. It can be used as a way to make room for new fabric and having some fun with creating that random scrappy look while at the same time creating a charming little quilt. The quilt top is made up of 3in squares with plain sashing strips and two borders to finish it all off and measures 38 1/2in x 44 1/2in (97.8cm x 113cm). Very simple and fast to construct.

New Pattern on Craftsy

My Windmill quilt is now on Craftsy!

I am chuffed to say the least. Spend quite some time drawing little pictures on the computer and can confirm, it pays to read the 'How to' of the drawing program you are using...ha, ha something I rarely do, hence spending an extraordinary time getting angry with the computer.

Here is a little example of what this looks like:

Stitch two half square triangle units together as shown. Join a 2 1/2in x 4 1/2in white tone-on-tone rectangle along the long edge. Press the seam towards the white fabric. This completes a quarter unit.

I am a visual person and like to have lots of pictures in my patterns ...just find that it is easier to follow as I am not inclined to read pages of instructions.

You can find my pattern using the Craftsy widget on the sidebar or click HERE... but be warned, looking at Craftsy patterns is guaranteed to provide absolute inspiration overload. I had a bit of a look around this morning and found a pattern for Meercats!...too cool, absolutely loved this.

Craftsy Pattern Store

Finally managed to set up my pattern store...very humble beginning with just 2 patterns, but I am super impressed with it as I have been talking about this for a long time.

This is the first of a set of 4 placemats I am intending to complete.  I am thinking of having 3 placemats with a white sheep and then reverse the colours and have one with a black sheep...a bit of fun at the dinner table!
