Pets on Quilts Show 2012

Here is my entry to the Pet On Quilts Show 2012 over at  Lily Pad Quilting .

This photo of our cat, Abby, was taken shortly after our move to our new house in February of this year. She suffered through the move being fairly disoriented for a while but then found the familiar quilt on the bed. This is her sleeping soundly not just stretching. As you can see she is a bit of a contortionist. Total relaxation.

Head over to Lily Pad Quilting and have a look at all the entries and place a vote for your favourite. This is going to be hard, they are all very cute.

Until next time

Karin

    1. I think dogs move a little bit easier. Our cat was a stray cat, so the whole moving experience was quite traumatic for her. We kept her inside for quite some time after as we did not want to loose her. It's funny how quickly one gets attached to these animals.

    1. Thank you...one of my better shots. This does not happen that often and only worked because she laid absolutely still.

  5. Poor little guy, he had to come up with a whole new list of favourite napping spots. That looks like the perfect place for kitty sleep aerobics.

    1. Yes, it's been a while and while the cat has settled, she is now in the process of asserting herself in the street. Unfortunately we moved into a street where just about everybody has several cats. All a bit traumatic for this furball.

  6. As long as she's got something familiar, it looks like she will adjust. Quilts are not just for people!

  13. Cats definitely are home bodies- whereas dogs are attached to people. Mars does not enjoy it when we go to visit my folks- at the first sign of the suitcases, she is out of here and off to her favorite hiding places. The contortionist position of cats is a familiar sight in our house too. Just this morning our cat Mars was laying sprawled out on the cat tree floor- half in it and half on the carpet.
I hope that you are enjoying the hop- it has been fun to meet so many new to me blogs.
    Regards from Western Canada,
    Anna

    1. Yes, it has been great...I like these events. gives me a chance to have a look around and see what other people are doing. Mind you, just hopping around I have come across at least four different things that went straight on my list. Had to stop as it was getting a bit stressful. Wonder whether you can bookmark things as I come across some brilliant tutorials.

    1. Yes, she is a special one, considering that she is a stray cat who made her home with us. She showed up in the garden one day emanciated and very shy...of course I fed her and we have had a jolly good time getting acquainted.
