FMQ fun

After a month of pure piecing I finally made some time to FMQ. I think I am almost enjoying the FMQ more than the actual piecing...

So, the projects on the floor got left behind ...were in use anyway as you can see

and I set out to play...

Gone a bit overboard with it...went around several times with different thread (white and light orange Aurifil 50/2 thread) to hide some imperfections (will post about the actual intent behind this later) and to also have a bit of a look at what this would look like. Looks actually a bit like a chalk drawing...amazing what you can do with thread...

This was most enjoyable...yep, obviously started another project.

  1. I have done this same thing, building and building the thread to fix waves or anything. The good news is you ended up with something really uniform and lovely :)

  2. Your play FMQ is stunning! Can't wait to hear more about it. It doesn't look a bit basic to me :)
